Victoria Viren
Born and raised in Orange County, Miss Victoria began dancing at the age of two after her parents enrolled her in a ballet/tap combo class. A few years later, she began taking classes at the Anaheim Ballet where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theater.
By age 12, Miss Victoria’s passion for dance was flourishing as she moved into her first pair of pointe shoes, and shortly after earned an apprenticeship with Anaheim Ballet’s company. A couple years later, and with multiple productions under her belt, she earned a soloist position with the company.
Some of her favorite roles danced with the Anaheim Ballet include Clara in The Nutcracker, Flora in The Awakening of Flora, Corps de Ballet member in Serenade, Act I Pas de Trois in Don Quixote, and the Canary Fairy and Princess Florine in Sleeping Beauty.
Other memorable performances include dancing on the Lincoln Center Stage for the Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala, Competing in YAGP’s NYC Finals with the Talisman Pas de Deux, performing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in the Mariinsky Ballet’s (ex. Kirov Ballet) Sleeping Beauty, and being featured as ABC’s Dancing with the Stars season 11’s AT&T Spotlight Performer.
Throughout her personal dance experience, Miss Victoria has taken master classes and programs with members of the American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey, Steps on Broadway, the Milwaukee Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet, and Joffrey Chicago.
In her late teens, Miss Victoria moved to the Midwest where she decided to pass on what she knew to others. She began teaching dance classes, workshops and outreach programs of all genres to both children and adults. Miss Victoria has recently relocated from Chicago to the Bay Area, where she is thrilled to be a part of the TDA team, continue into her ninth year of teaching, and help her students discover the joys of dance.
