Monique Borses
Monique Borses grew up in Austin, Texas where she began dancing at the age of two. Her life revolved around athletic arts, from competition dance teams, to cheerleading, and ice skating. She studied with a wide variety of dance teachers and culminated her adolescent training as a part of Ballet Austin’s rigorous pre-professional program.
Monique graduated from The Boston Conservatory with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. While there, she received extensive training in all dance styles. In addition, she choreographed musicals and participated in numerous choreography showcases.
After college, Monique pursued her performing career in New York City. She continued her training at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway with top industry professionals.
Monique has now made California her home. Her mission as a dance teacher is to not only teach dance, but to share her overall passion, joy, and loving kindness with her students. She works to build confidence in her dancers, grow their technique, strength, and versatility, provide them with a wide vocabulary of steps, cultivate their artistry, and most importantly, assure that they love coming to class.
